Assessment and evaluation are an ongoing process and part of everyday teaching practice. A wide range of evaluation and assessment tools and techniques are used at Upper Plenty Primary School to ensure comprehensive monitoring of all students and the consequent provision of relevant and effective programs.
Two formal written reports will be generated for all students at mid and end of year. A formal parent teacher interview for all students will be conducted mid year and wherever necessary at other times during the year. These meetings are referred to as Student led conferences and involve the student conducting part of the interview. Individual Learning Plans will be developed for all students deemed to be ‘at risk’. These students will be assessed against the specific goals and targets identified in these plans.
The NAPLAN Nationwide testing program will be implemented for all designated children unless parental consent is withdrawn. Integration students will not undergo the NAPLAN tests.
