PE


 

Upper Plenty Primary School provides a high quality Physical Education program for all of our students. Our program is designed to prepare students for a lifelong healthy and active lifestyle through the development of skills, knowledge, teamwork, positive attitudes, and most importantly having fun. Our PE program provides students with a wide range of physical and sporting experiences focusing on the sequential development of fundamental motor and locomotor skills, gymnastics, athletics, fitness and various team sports. Students participate in PE classes on a weekly basis for 60 minutes. 

 

Interschool Sports

Students in the senior years compete in Winter interschool sports competitions against other local schools. The sports students can participate in include AFL, Tee-ball, Netball and Rounders.

 

Sporting Schools Program

Students across all years can participate in weekly lunch time sporting sessions funded by the Sporting Schools program. Students particpate in these sessions which are run by expert coaches across their various sporting fields. 

 

Term 3 saw students in years 3-6 participate in weekly golf lessons ran by an accrediated golf coach. 

 

 

School Teams

Students have the opportunity to try out for the various school sporting teams such as swimming, cross country, athletics and basketball. Students then compete against other schools at the various different levels.
