At UPPS, students participate in weekly emotionally engaging The Resilience Project lessons. This program provide evidence based practical strategies to build resilience in students and is an important part of looking after the mental health of our community.
The Resilience Project is based around gratitude, empathy and mindfulness. Gratitude is about being thankful for what you’ve got. Empathy is thinking about what others are feeling and it’s about being kind to others. Mindfulness is bringing your attention to the present moment. It builds awareness of thoughts, emotions, and surroundings, as well as a sense of calm.
